Hajimete  tsukuru  GURATAN    chanto  dekiru kana?
BIIRU o  katate ni  mot te    MAKARONI o  yude te  mi you.

Chotto dake    watashi  akai  kao de    tamanegi o  itameru.
Nare nai  tetsuki demo    nandaka  totemo  tanoshii na.
Ike nai.    Watashi  yot ta kashira?    Sukoshi  nemuku  nat ta.
Nare nai  teryouri wa    yappari  umaku  ika nai na.

Kinou wa  ano  mama    tsui  ne  chatta wa.    Nantoka  naru desyo u.
Kitto  daijoubu yo.  Makase te.

Sukoshi  okure te  ki ta  kare    onaka  suite sou.

     Your Wonderful Birthday.

Tomorrow is his birthday.  I'll cook for him myself.
I cleaned my room and went shopping.
What shall I cook for him?  One of his favorites is macaroni gratin.
I've got to rehearse tonight.

It's my first time to cook gratin.  I wonder how it will taste.
I'm trying to boil macaroni with a glass of beer in hand.

Next I must fry sliced onion.  My face has turned slightly flushed.
Curiously, cooking is very pleasant though I'm inexperienced in it.
Oh, no!  I've got drunk and sleepy.
Macaroni gratin is too difficult for me as I expected, 'cause I'm
inexperienced in cooking.

Leaving the macaroni and onion in the kitchen, I went to bed last night.
No problem.  All right.  Don't worry.

You were a little late for the appointment.  You look hungry.
"Happy birthday to you!"  Let's have dinner right now.

Wearing a new suit, you look more grownup than you are.
It doesn't suit you - without my knowing why - but I praise it today.
"Is it true?"  You looked shy and smiled happily.
It's time that my honorable gratin is ready.

This gratin is a little too baked.  Sorry, but it's not so bad.
It failed as I'd expected, 'cause I've rehearsed only once.
Cooking for you is my way to express my love.
You like gratin very much.  It must be delicious.
